| Walking The Plank! Occasionally being the pirates we are, one of us violates one of the articles that govern The Errant Venture the following is what happened and the punishment the crew voted on. |
At Highlands war in 2006, our Master Gunner William Sinclair ( the person who's sole responsibility is the defence of
the ship ) was brought up on charges by one of our newest crew members The Swabbie Simone for a breach of
article X
( Each crew shall keep his armor, sword, and piece at all times clean and ready for action, and close at hand. Court
will be mandatory armed. )
It was discovered that Master Gunner Sinclair left all his weapons at home!!! By a vote of the crew, it was decided
that during the Grand Alliance party that night Master Gunner William Sinclair shall dance by the fire in front of the
gathered masses ( over a hundred people ) in the garb of a Woman!!!

During a ship meeting in December of 06 our Cabin boy decided that watching the Bard in a box was more important
than paying attention to the grave matters that where unfolding at the meeting... To make matters worse when he
was confronted with his dereliction of duty he responded with " I'm board " our Bard M'Lady Raithnat filed charges
against Marcus for dereliction of duty and a violation of article III
(Anyone that shall desert the ship or quarters in time of battle or fail in commitment without justifiable excuse shall
face punishment at the discretion of the company.)
It was decided by vote of the crew that on Friday night at Estrella war the accused M'Lord Marcus Seitz shall dress
as a woman and serve the ship and her guests in the capacity of a wench!

On January 7th at a ship meeting M'Lady Kaylynn Seitz was brought up on charges by our Cabin Boy M'Lord
Marcus Seitz for dereliction of duty and violating article III
( Anyone that shall desert the ship or quarters in time of battle or fail in commitment without justifiable excuse shall
face punishment at the discretion of the company.)
Kaylynn decided that it was to cold to attend the ship meeting ( even though half the crew was in tee shirts ).
By a vote of the crew she was found guilty and sentenced to the following:
1) For a period of six months she must attend all ship functions.
2) at these functions she must act in the capacity of service. " she is the camp wench for six months "
on June 5th M'Lady Kaylynn was again brought up on charges for dereliction of duty ( this time by our Cabin boy )
this time she was in flirting with Zack instead of being in the meeting, she was given numerous warnings by various
members of the crew ( she ignored all of them )
By a vote of the crew she was found guilty and sentenced to the following:
1) Her punishment from the previous would be extended for a period of one year
2) she is to continue to serve the ship with the following stipulations
A) during this time of service he will be in full garb at ALL ship functions
B) she is to call ahead to all crew members and get there orders for drinks and have it prepared for them when
they arrive. She will also endeavor to keep everyone glasses full
C) when not serving she is to remain in the presence of the Senior Officers or her mom
D) She MUST attend all ship functions that one or both of her parents goto and may not miss a meeting with
out a GOOD excuse ( no going to friends house to get out of it )
E) At fighter practices she will serve in the capacity of Water Bearer

to keep proper care of her self and spent a week in the sick bay because of it. This is not the first time we have dealt
with this issue and M'Lady Raithnat, the last being at Estrella war this year where the same thing happened, and at
Highlands before that, where her merciless drive to do volunteer hours caused her to be sick for part of the event.
By a vote of the crew she was found guilty and sentenced to the following:
1) for a period of one year Raithnat is not aloud to do ANY volunteering with out the permission of Senior Officers
to keep proper care of her self and spent a week in the sick bay because of it. This is not the first time we have dealt

On the 15th of August a vote of Marooning was called for Raithnat ( MKA Katie Henshaw )
she was charged with the following crimes

Playing one crew against another
Theft from fellow crew members
Lying to fellow crew members
It was decided by a vote of the crew that Raithnat would be put ashore at the nearest port and her name would be
stricken from our crew roster

On December 9th 2007 Crewman Jessica Vancleaf was brought up on charges for dereliction of duty by our
Master Gunner. The charges where that she continually misses meetings and events ( pillage ) with no justifiable
excuse. Jessica chose to give no defence to the accusations. The vote was called and it was decided that for the
period of 6 months she would be required to attend all ship meetings in garb and act in the capacity of the ships
secretary, and at war she will act as a back-up server for the ship.
